Store Reviews

Hello my freaky darlings!

I am back (two posts in two days is craziness!) with something a little different.

Today I plan on reviewing a few websites that I have bought from in the past in my first ever product review!

Pinup Girl Clothing: http://www.pinupgirlclothing.com/
The waaaaay too short top
I absolutely adore this store (hey that rhymed). It has a great variety of retro, rockabilly shirts and tops – all made for ladies with curves (and if a 36F bust doesn’t count as curvy than I don’t know what does).
The first of the two tops is no longer sold on the site, which doesn’t surprise me as it was SUPER itchy which sucked considering I loved the neckline and the size was perfect. It was sent immediately to the local Salvation Army.
The second top is still sold on the site though I wish the ‘customer review’ option was there earlier as then I would have known not to order it. The top itself is adorable but it is waaaaay too short for my liking so I past it on to my Mom, who loves it and is short enough to wear it.
Shipping for the store is pretty slow but it was coming from Australia I think.
Despite this I would still recommend this site (crazy eh!) as the products are gorgeous and with the customer reviews now it is much easier to understand what you want.

The onsite picture of the cosplay
Cosplay Magic: http://www.cosplaymagic.com/
A lot of people complain about the quality of these costumes but in my opinion if you can’t sew than you can’t complain. I actually own one cosplay from this store (my Blair) and I was actually really pleased for the most part.
My only problem was, was that the waist was really high on me making it look a little like an empire waist which make me look pregnant so if and when I wear the costume again I will likely add a underbust corset to add some more shape.
Some of the more elaborate costumes can be reeeeeeally pricey (Lulu’s dress is a whopping $554.000). If your looking for a more simple costume though, and are willing to spend at least $120.00, then it’s an okay choice.

Doubleshop2008 / CosplayHolic: http://stores.ebay.ca/cosplayholic?_trksid=p4340.l2563
An Ebay seller and maker of my younger sisters 2011 Mr.9 cosplay. This seller is brilliantly talented and every detail of the cosplay was SPOT on which is saying something since my sister is a perfectionist. The seller also had a great level of communication which is great when getting something custom made.
The only problem with this shop is that the wigs are freakishly small and do not fit the heads of most normal people.

COCOSILVERHK – Cocplay-Gallery: http://stores.ebay.ca/COCOSILVERHK-Cocplay-Gallery?_trksid=p4340.l2563
This is the seller that I bought my Boa Hancock cosplay from (which I only ever posted pictures of on cosplay.com). Though I reeeeeeally regret wearing such a skimpy cosplay I have no complaints about the seller or the quality. Really the cosplay itself was freakishly beautiful and I loved it’s quality. The only problem with this seller is that you can’t get a custom size you have to go with the usual Small to X-Large.

Simply String Dolls: http://www.etsy.com/people/simplystringdolls?ref=ls_profile
An etsy seller whom I bought three adorable string dolls from (Jason Voorhees, Darth Maul and Pinhead). The quality of these little guys and gals are incredible and shipping was prompt and pricing great. The only problem with this seller is for some straaaange reason you can’t actually see his products on etsy. You actually have to be friends with him via facebook and ask personally.

Daphnenen: http://www.etsy.com/shop/daphnenen
Another etsy seller and creator of my absolutely beautiful purse. I’ve had my purse for just over ayear now and still haven’t had a single complaint or problem with it! The size is perfect, the quality is impeccable and the style, flawless! I would highly recommend going to this seller if your in the market for a purse.
